Citrus Heritage at Mahabaleshwar

Set in the beautiful hills of Mahabaleshwar The Citrus heritage was a classic challenge for the architects. Set in a no development zone the complex was redone with one beautiful heritage building & 3 backhouse areas which had to be converted into habitable guest units & fused into a homogenous whole. The secondary structures and awkwardly placed solar panels were already a criminal violation of the Sanctity of the ethos of the main heritage structure but since it was an endized it was required to reinvent these structures and convert this 6 room hotel into a viable 30 room hotel. Skillful analysis of heights, structural components and possible adjustments with a special eye on the climatic constraints of Mahabaleshwar where the key to this is soul warming transformation.
