The Zest At Panjim

Every structure, especially when they are heritage structures need subtle re-invention of the cues and innovative handling of the old structural materials to rejuvenated without encroaching on its ethos. The building housing THE ZEST at Panjim offers multiple cues for the design of the restaurant situated at one of the prominent square of Panjim. The building was a dilapidated structure gutted by fire & classified as a heritage building by the government. The challenge was to repair & use the elements of the existing structure have a bright ambience without taking away the rich cultural ethos of Goa. Apart from the structure we borrowed from the architectural graphic & Portuguese cultural influences inherent in Goan culture to create a blend which is warm, pleasing & uniquely Goan.
